Hi!  I'm Sally, and this is my story...

I have been decorating cakes since 1983.  We were poor students while my husband was in Graduate School and I wanted to be able to make cute birthday cakes for my three young children. A good friend, who had taken several decorating classes, invited me to her house to learn a few skills and I was hooked for life.  Since I ended up having EIGHT children, I had many opportunities to  learn new techniques and practice my skills.

     I began decorating Wedding Cakes in 1984.  The first wedding cake I made was for my sister's wedding.   It was a simple two tier wedding cake that I made in Ohio and transported to the Chicago area.

     I moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1986 and provided wedding cakes for many of the young soldiers and their brides at our church, as my gift to them. I honed my skills by making cakes for family and friends for many, many years. I also made many cakes for other special occasions, but I always just did it out of love.

      When my daughter, Catherine, was married and I decided to make her wedding cake and groom's cakes myself, it reminded me how much I loved the creative process and so I decided to offer my cakes beyond family and friends.

     I also have a passion for cooking and baking.  I love to try new recipes and experiment in order to find the most delicious tastes for the foods I create.  The result is the most delicious cakes, icings and fillings that will make your cake not just pleasing to the eye, but also very pleasing to the palate.

     Since that time, I have been able to share in the joy of many special occasions as people have allowed me to create a delicious masterpiece for their day of celebration!
